Day Care Death: Disturbing Prior Incidents Emerge
19 Nov
Summary
- Infant died after being found unresponsive at a Minnesota day care.
- Employee's history of false reports raises concerns.
- Prior incidents involving other infants preceded the death.

An infant's death at Rocking Horse Ranch day care in Savage, Minnesota, has prompted a deeper look into the facility's past operations and staff. Court documents reveal that prior to the infant's death in September, there were at least two similar alarming incidents involving other children.
An employee reported that on separate occasions, infants in her care exhibited signs of distress, including vomiting blood-like substances and difficulty breathing. These incidents, coupled with the employee's documented history of false reports and 911 misdials, have intensified the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the infant's death.
Despite a preliminary autopsy showing no physical trauma or common poisons, the day care has had its license temporarily suspended as the investigation continues. Rocking Horse Ranch is currently appealing this suspension.
