A 19-year-old suspect has been apprehended months after a fatal shooting at a Halloween party in Santa Clarita. Alejandro Trujillo, of Newhall, was arrested on February 2, 2026, and booked on two counts of murder. He is being held without bail.
The shooting took place on the night of October 31, 2025, at a party on De Wolfe Road in the Gavin Canyon area. Deputies responded to reports of a shooting and found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Elijah Harts, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. Anthony Mora, 27, who was critically injured, later died after being transported to a hospital. Authorities stated the violence erupted following an altercation at the gathering.
