Court Orders Special Team for Salman Khan Warrant
26 Mar
Summary
- A special team is ordered to serve Salman Khan a third bailable warrant.
- The case involves an allegedly misleading advertisement for Rajshree Pan Masala.
- Khan's celebrity status doesn't exempt him from legal accountability.

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Jaipur has ordered the Director General of Police to form a special team to serve a third bailable warrant to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. This action is part of an ongoing case involving an allegedly misleading advertisement for Rajshree Pan Masala.
The commission stressed the urgency of serving the warrant, warning of severe consequences, including non-bailable warrants, if Khan and Rajshree Pan Masala directors fail to appear at the next hearing on April 6.
Bailable warrants have been issued against Khan multiple times since January 15. The commission noted Khan's continuous violation of interim directions regarding misleading advertisements and dismissed his attempts to revise previous decisions.
The panel firmly stated that celebrity status does not grant special rights, and repeated evasion of warrants undermines the legal process and consumer trust. The case originated from a complaint alleging misleading trade practices and seeking a ban on the product and Khan's endorsement.
