- Forensic pathologist detailed graphic autopsy findings.
- Seized knife was over 13 inches long; blade was eight inches.

The jury in the alleged double murder trial of Roman Kamyshnyy heard detailed forensic findings on Friday, June 13, 2026. The 17-year-old and 10-year-old victims died from multiple stab wounds, suffering injuries to both their front and back, some measuring several centimetres deep.
Dr. Erik Mont, the forensic pathologist, testified that six stab wounds to the teen and four to the boy were 'rapidly fatal.' He stated that these wounds were 'almost definitely' caused by one or more blades. The court also heard that a knife seized from the apartment near the victims was over 13 inches long with an eight-inch blade. Kamyshnyy, 46, faces two counts of first-degree murder.
The trial, which began on Monday, June 09, 2026, involves allegations of domestic violence. Kamyshnyy has pleaded not guilty. The victims, identified only as A.B. and C.D., were found in an apartment on January 29, 2025, after police responded to a 911 call from the eldest victim. The trial is scheduled to continue until June 26, 2026.
