Summary
- A father paid Rs 25 lakh for his daughter's MBBS seat.
- The accused counsellor allegedly showed fake admission documents.
- The family received threats after demanding a refund.

A case of alleged fraud amounting to Rs 25 lakh has been registered by Hisar police. A man from Rakhi Khas village claimed he was deceived by a career counsellor promising his daughter admission to an MBBS program in Nepal. The counsellor, Dr. Kamni Aashri from Jind, reportedly quoted Rs 60.51 lakh in total fees, including a Rs 5 lakh service charge.
The complainant, Dr. Suresh Kumar, stated that approximately Rs 25 lakh was transferred via RTGS and online payments between June 30, 2025, and July 1, 2025. The student's original documents were also submitted. The family was shown purported documents confirming seat booking and admission.
However, upon inquiry, the Nepal-based college denied any admission. When the family demanded their money back, the accused allegedly delayed providing a clear response and by February 9, admitted that no admission was secured. Despite repeated requests, the funds were not returned.
Further escalating the situation, on February 11, the complainant alleged that when he called to discuss the refund, the counsellor handed the phone to a man named Naveen. This individual reportedly used abusive language and threatened the family with death and abduction. Naveen Sharma from Sulchani village has also been named in the FIR, and police are investigating further.
