In Pataudi, Gurgaon, a sweet shop owner discovered approximately Rs 1.6 lakh missing from his establishment on the morning of April 23. The owner, Shyam Singh, found the shop's shutter ajar and the lock damaged. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, Singh identified the suspect as Suraj, an employee who had been working at the shop for only one month.
Singh initially approached Suraj's family, who promised to resolve the matter and return the stolen cash. However, when these assurances were not met and the family became unreachable, Singh filed a formal complaint with the police on April 27. An FIR has been registered, and the police have launched a search for the absconding accused.
