Rourkela Minors Raped After Puja Fair Abduction

Three youths have been arrested, and a 17-year-old boy detained by Rourkela police concerning the alleged gang rape of two minor girls in Sundargarh district. The incident unfolded three days prior when the victims, aged 14 and 15, attended a Karam Puja fair. While returning home, they accepted a lift from five youths on three motorcycles near a school. The perpetrators diverted the girls to a forested area, where four of them allegedly committed the assault, with one youth reportedly leaving before the act. The victims were threatened before the accused fled. Following the escape of two other girls and subsequent rescue by relatives, the victims filed an FIR. Police investigation identified four suspects, leading to the arrests and detention. Vehicles used in the crime are being seized, and medical examinations have been conducted.
