In Santa Clarita, California, a couple's worst fears were realized when they discovered surveillance footage allegedly showing their roommate, 42-year-old Timothy Bradbury, spraying their food and kitchen appliances with poison. The couple, Billy and David Sonhopper, noticed their suspicions were confirmed after a recent emergency room visit where doctors indicated possible poisoning based on blood work. This discovery led them to review security cameras installed in their home. The video reportedly shows Bradbury, wearing a blue hoodie and gas mask, spraying groceries, pantry items, and even their morning coffee pot with a blue bottle. The Sonhoppers have endured a year of alleged disturbances with Bradbury, including claims of him attempting to set the house on fire and damaging their clothing, but lacked concrete evidence until this incident.
Bradbury's arrest occurred on February 24th, following a standoff where deputies, aware of his mental health disability, engaged the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Mental Evaluation Team. After a two-hour negotiation, Bradbury voluntarily exited the residence. Investigators then secured a search warrant, recovering physical evidence. Bradbury faces charges for the willful poisoning of food, drink, medicine, or water with the intent to cause injury. The Sonhoppers expressed relief, stating they are tired of living in fear and stress due to their roommate's alleged actions.
