Crime branch officials in Mumbai have taken two arrested suspects, Swapnil Saket and Samarth Pomaji, to Pune. This excursion aimed to meticulously recreate the movements of the suspects. The investigation focused on determining the duration required to transport a second-hand scooter from Pune to Mumbai.
The scooter was acquired in Pune based on instructions from the alleged mastermind, Shubham Lonkar. Investigators sought to understand how the vehicle was brought to Vile Parle railway station. The suspects stated that they had left the scooter unlocked with the key still in the ignition.
Subsequently, early on February 1st, an unidentified shooter utilized this scooter. The assailant rode it to filmmaker Rohit Shetty's bungalow in Juhu and discharged five rounds. The vehicle was later found abandoned approximately 2 kilometers away from the scene.
