A 19-year-old Nebraska man, Hser Mu Lah Say, is accused of traveling 1,500 miles to abduct two young sisters he allegedly groomed online. The girls, 12 and 14, were reportedly contacted by Say via Roblox and Snapchat since the summer of 2025. Investigators detailed Say's alleged grooming tactics, which included sending gifts and food.
The girls went missing from Indiantown, Florida, on Saturday evening. Their family had alerted authorities, suspecting Say's involvement after discovering the girls had planned to meet him. After confiscating their phones, police accessed their communications, revealing Say's abduction plans.
A multi-state manhunt ensued, and Say was apprehended in Georgia just after midnight in his black Honda. The two sisters were found safely inside his vehicle and have been returned home. Say faces kidnapping and interference with child custody charges and is awaiting extradition to Florida.
Both Roblox and Snapchat have issued statements condemning the incident and affirming their commitment to user safety, detailing ongoing efforts to strengthen protections against online exploitation.
