An armed robbery at a Pasadena pawn shop on Thursday morning concluded with a severe collision between two 18-wheelers on Houston's East Loop. Following the robbery, two suspects fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima. A Pasadena patrol officer spotted the vehicle, and as officers attempted to intervene, the suspects' car crashed into an 18-wheeler. The vehicle then went down an embankment, colliding with a second 18-wheeler and becoming pinned beneath it.
Emergency crews worked to extricate the critically injured driver from the wreckage, transporting him to a hospital.
