Filmmaker's Son Arrested for Parents' Murder

Filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner, were allegedly murdered by their 32-year-old son, Nick. The shocking crime occurred approximately three months after Rob Reiner spoke optimistically about his son's recovery from drug abuse, stating Nick had been sober for over six years. Nick has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, with potential penalties including life in prison or the death penalty.

Suspicion quickly fell upon Nick after his parents' bodies were discovered by his sister, Romy Reiner, who reportedly told investigators that her brother was dangerous and should be considered a suspect.
