Getaway Van Parked for Days Before Richmond Jeweller Heist

A jewelry store in Richmond was targeted by thieves last Saturday morning in a meticulously planned ram-raid. The getaway vehicle, a white Peugeot van, had been illegally parked for three days leading up to the 10:30 am attack on Gregory & Co. Video footage captured two masked individuals demolishing the store's window and making off with goods on foot.

Local businesses, situated in an area known for celebrity residents and its association with the show "Ted Lasso," are calling for enhanced security. They fear that a perceived lack of safety could deter tourists, impacting the neighborhood's economy. The thieves reportedly drove the van to Richmond Green before proceeding to the store, later returning to the van and abandoning it at the initial parking spot.

This incident follows other well-planned raids in the affluent area, including burglaries at properties associated with the "Ted Lasso" series and a previous break-in at Richard Ashcroft's home.
