23 May
Summary
- Woman says same man attacked her twice on same road.
- Suspect had prior convictions including assault.
- Victim plans to seek protective injunction.

A Volusia County woman has reported a second assault by the same individual, Cameron Lyons, on a familiar jogging route in DeBary. The victim stated she was grabbed by the breast by Lyons, whom she initially did not recognize due to a changed appearance. She successfully defended herself during this recent encounter.
Lyons was previously convicted in connection with a similar attack last year, where he allegedly grabbed the victim's buttocks. Despite a history of serious offenses, including attempted burglary and aggravated assault, Lyons accepted a plea deal for the prior incident, resulting in a six-month jail sentence.
The victim expressed concern for public safety, describing Lyons as "very dangerous" and believing he should not be free. She plans to seek a protective injunction against him. Lyons is currently being held on charges of battery, stalking, and possession or display of a forged ID.
