Regina police confirmed on Tuesday that the death of a man found in a dumpster is not criminal.
Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive early on January 17. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a man inside a dumpster.
Sources in the area indicated the discovery was made outside East Side Mario's restaurant. The Regina Police Service forensic identification unit and the coroner's service were called to the scene.
An investigation, including an autopsy, was conducted. The findings led authorities to rule the death as non-criminal. The name of the deceased will not be publicly disclosed.
