The incident began on Sunday evening when Gopal was ambushed while driving. Attackers forced his vehicle to stop, doused his friend with a chemical, and abducted Gopal. The following day, a body discovered near Denkanikote, Krishnagiri, was identified as Gopal.
Investigations revealed that Gopal's former business partner, Mohan Babu, is believed to have masterminded the murder. Babu allegedly harbored a deep-seated belief that Gopal was using black magic to sabotage his real estate business and harm his health.
This animosity stemmed from Gopal's transition from a commission agent under Babu to an independent operator, a move that led to significant profits for Gopal and growing resentment in Babu. The investigation is ongoing, with two other suspects still at large.
