Rapper Diddy's Release Date Pushed Back to 2028 Due to Prison Infractions

As of November 13, 2025, rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs is set to stay at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey for a little longer than initially planned. His release date has been pushed back from May 8, 2028 to June 4, 2028 due to reported infractions during his time in prison.

Combs was sentenced to a 50-month term in October 2024 for two prostitution-related charges, though he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering allegations. The judge at the time stated that a "substantial sentence" was necessary to serve as an example and for general deterrence.

Despite the extended stay, Combs' public relations team has indicated that he remains focused on personal growth and improvement during his incarceration. The reasons behind the change in his release date remain unclear, though reports suggest Combs may have violated multiple prison rules in his first weeks at the facility.
