Rajpal Yadav's Rs. 6 Cr Payment Saga Continues

The Delhi High Court has reserved its verdict in a cheque bounce case involving Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav. The Rs. 6 crore dispute centers on inconsistent payment claims made by the actor, with his outstanding dues reportedly standing at Rs. 7.75 crores. The court expressed dissatisfaction with Yadav's shifting stance, questioning the delay in settlement if he was genuinely willing to pay.

This case dates back to 2024 when Yadav was convicted and sentenced to six months in jail. The High Court had stayed his sentence, contingent on financial resolution. However, multiple assurances were unfulfilled, leading to his surrender in February 2026 and subsequent release after depositing ₹1.5 crore. The complainant noted that jail time does not negate the repayment obligation.

During the latest hearing, the court suggested a one-time settlement of Rs. 6 crores, to which the complainant showed openness. Yadav stated he would comply with court directives, despite claiming significant financial losses and property sales to meet obligations. The court ultimately declined to grant further time, reserving its judgment.
