GujCTOC Act Used Against 12 in Rajkot Gang

Rajkot city crime branch has invoked the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) Act against 12 members of the Shamji Maka gang. This action was taken due to their alleged involvement in organized criminal activities within the Thorala police station jurisdiction.
The gang has been active over the past decade, from 2016 up to the current date of April 22, 2026. Investigations have linked them to a total of 22 serious offenses during this period. These criminal activities include serious crimes such as attempted murder, grievous assault, kidnapping, and robbery. The gang has also been implicated in forming criminal gangs and obstructing government officials in their duties.
So far, eight accused individuals have been apprehended by the authorities. These arrested members include Devsi Makwana, Dilip alias Dilo Chauhan, Chirag alias Bhaylu Makwana, Kiran Khimsuriya, Ajay Jadav, Gautam alias Gogo Baraiya, Nagesh alias Lalu Makwana, and Mehul Solanki. The remaining members are still sought by the police.
