Rajasthan Police Seize ₹25.5 Lakh in Mega Roadblock!

Rajasthan Police launched a significant statewide "mega nakabandi" operation on Monday, resulting in the issuance of 15,083 traffic challans and the arrest of 226 people. The drive, initiated on the directions of the Director General of Police, saw 1,103 checkpoints established across all police ranges and commissionerates.

Intensive inspections covered 74,872 vehicles. Violations included riding without helmets, not wearing seat belts, using mobile phones while driving, and unauthorized modifications. Police also took action against 385 instances of drunken driving.

Beyond traffic enforcement, the operation focused on crime prevention, leading to the seizure of 11 vehicles and the registration of 73 criminal cases. These cases encompassed violations under the Arms Act, Excise Act, and NDPS Act. A total of 226 individuals were arrested or detained on suspicion of unlawful activities.

Significant seizures were reported, including ₹25.5 lakh in cash in Jaipur Range. Other ranges reported confiscations of tractors for illegal sand mining, country liquor, illicit liquor, doda chura, and sound equipment, underscoring a broad crackdown on various illegal activities.
