Children Found in 'House of Horrors'; Couple Charged
4 Sep
Summary
- Two more individuals arrested for child neglect in a 'house of horrors'.
- Infant found in critical condition due to severe neglect.
- Previous neglect reports at the same residence were investigated in 2025.

Two additional individuals, Alex Flynn, 24, and David Flynn, 23, were arrested on child neglect charges in Putnam County. These arrests stem from an ongoing investigation into a "house of horrors" discovered in July. The initial investigation was prompted by reports regarding the poor health of a six-week-old infant.
Upon investigation, authorities found a residence in Florahome with deplorable conditions, including animal feces, mold, and rotting food. Several children were found to be abused and neglected. The infant discovered required immediate medical intervention to survive due to a low heart rate, body temperature, and weight.
This incident follows a prior investigation in September 2025 concerning possible child neglect at the same address. At that time, authorities responded to a report by a babysitter regarding the care of three children. While deputies noted unsanitary conditions and lack of food, no criminal charges were filed pending parental compliance with a corrective action plan overseen by the Department of Children and Families.
With the recent arrests of the Flynns, who are related to previously charged individuals, the total number of people charged in connection with this case reaches six. All individuals charged are subject to a condition preventing unsupervised contact with minors if they make bond.
