Duo Linked to Another Murder Caught in Saswad Killing

Two daily wage laborers, Suraj Prakash Nishad from Chhattisgarh and Niraj Goswami from Madhya Pradesh, have been arrested by Pune rural police for the murder of 38-year-old Raju Borade. Borade was discovered deceased on December 9th in Saswad, with his throat having been slit.
The investigation gained momentum with the recovery of CCTV footage showing the victim with two suspects. Police constable Aksha Chile spotted one of the accused near the crime scene, leading to their apprehension. During interrogation, Nishad admitted to the murder and identified Goswami as his accomplice. The altercation reportedly escalated from a petty disagreement during a shared alcohol consumption session.
Further inquiries revealed that one of the accused, Niraj Goswami, is also suspected in a previous murder case in the Jamkhed area of Ahilyanagar district on November 23rd. The arrested duo had been in Saswad for approximately two weeks prior to the incident, seeking employment. They are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
