An 18-year-old woman, who went missing from Pune earlier in the week, was tragically found deceased in the Mula-Mutha River at Kharadi on Saturday evening. A missing person report had been officially filed with the Mundhwa police station on Wednesday, the same day she left her home.

Her body was recovered after concerned locals noticed it floating in the river. Police alerted stations upstream, confirming the identity of the missing individual. The young woman had recently discontinued her studies, and her parents are daily-wage laborers. CCTV footage had shown her traveling by auto-rickshaw and walking in Yerawada before her disappearance.
