A shocking incident unfolded in Pune where a 44-year-old man, identified as Pintya alias Vishnu Tanaji Kumbhar, is accused of murdering his friend. The fatal altercation occurred on Friday in the Pimple Gurav area. Police were alerted when civic workers found two human legs in a plastic sack at a roadside garbage heap.
Investigators traced a SIM card found with the legs to Anil Khade, establishing his identity as the victim. Further inquiries led police to Kumbhar's residence, where a foul smell prompted a search. Inside, they discovered Khade's body, bearing a severe head injury and both legs severed.
Authorities revealed that both men were habitual drinkers. An argument erupted while they were consuming alcohol, leading Kumbhar to allegedly strike Khade with a baseball bat, causing his death. Subsequently, Kumbhar is suspected of severing Khade's legs with a sickle and disposing of them.
