A violent dispute in Pune's Yerawada area resulted in an acid attack that injured four individuals, including a child. The incident occurred on November 6 near Ramnagar Masjid when Nitin Sundar Jadhav, 52, allegedly attacked his friend Ashish Indrapal Dingya, 40, with acid following a disagreement.
When Dingya's mother attempted to intervene, she was also injured, sustaining burns on both hands. A passing man and his six-year-old daughter were also caught in the attack, receiving acid burns to their limbs. While the mother and daughter were discharged the same day, the daughter sustained injuries to her left leg and the father to his right arm and leg.
Dingya himself suffered injuries to his face and hands. The accused, a plumber, is reported to have purchased the acid from a local hardware shop after recurring arguments with his friend. A case has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the suspect is currently in judicial custody.
