In Puducherry, IPS officer Isha Singh made headlines by confronting organizers of a large political rally led by actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Singh, born in Mumbai in 1998, comes from a family dedicated to public service. Her father, Yogesh Pratap Singh, an IPS officer, resigned over corruption issues, and her mother, Abha Singh, left civil service to pursue public interest law. Isha herself graduated from the National Law School, Bengaluru, and focused on human rights and litigation before joining the IPS, motivated by a desire for systemic change.
