In West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, a 24-year-old woman, Puja Mondal, who was six months pregnant, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Rishi Harichand. Police discovered her body concealed under a bed in their Garulia home on Wednesday evening.
Authorities have apprehended three individuals: Rishi Harichand, his mother, and another relative. A murder case has been filed, and the victim's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The victim's family claims Puja was killed after refusing to meet her husband's financial demands.
Local reports indicate the couple had been married for two years. Puja's family alleged ongoing harassment over money from her husband and in-laws since the marriage. An argument reportedly escalated on Wednesday morning after she refused to provide money, leading to the alleged homicide.
