Predatory Man Jailed for Sexually Exploiting Teenage Girl

In a disturbing case, a 23-year-old man named Alexander Olas has been sentenced to 6 years and 4 months in prison for sexually exploiting a 15-year-old girl. According to the details, Olas met the teenage victim through social media in August 2022 and proceeded to take her to hotels in Scunthorpe over the following months.

On November 7, 2025, Olas was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and witness intimidation. Detective Sergeant Tony Wilkinson stated that Olas "not only took advantage of a vulnerable 15-year-old girl" but also "threatened and assaulted her if she refused to give him what he wanted."

Olas, formerly from Doncaster, had initially denied the charges but later changed his pleas. The investigation was launched in September 2022 after a concerned parent reported that their 15-year-old daughter had been taken to a hotel by an older man. Police discovered extensive messages between Olas and the victim across multiple social media platforms, and found that he had booked the hotel rooms under false names in an effort to conceal his identity.

While the victim continues to endure the trauma of the ordeal, Det Sgt Wilkinson expressed satisfaction that Olas is now "behind bars where he belongs." The predator was also made the subject of a 15-year sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register for life.
