Rapper Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., and eight other individuals have been accused by federal prosecutors of a January incident involving armed robbery and kidnapping in Texas. The allegations center on a dispute that arose after three victims traveled to Dallas for a supposed business meeting at a music studio.
Prosecutors state that Williams Jr. arranged the meeting to discuss contract terms with 1017 Records, a label owned by rap artist Gucci Mane. The affidavit details that once inside the studio, Williams Jr. and his co-conspirators allegedly executed a coordinated armed takeover. Two of the defendants, Rodney Wright and Lontrell Williams Sr., were also named.
