- The suspension is linked to an attack on police in Hathoda village.
- 22 individuals were arrested following the violent incident.

A police sub-inspector, A D Dhadhal, attached to Kosamba police station, was suspended on Monday following an internal inquiry that found him negligent in his duties. This suspension is directly linked to an attack on police personnel that occurred on February 26 in Hathoda village.
Sub-inspector Dhadhal had been assigned patrol duty on the night of the incident. While he reported his location to the control room, field officers could not confirm his presence at the scene during the inquiry. The attack began when police, acting on a tip about alleged cow slaughter, were obstructed by a group of individuals, who then summoned a mob of over 50 people.
This mob, reportedly armed with sticks, pipes, and stones, assaulted the police team and an informer. In the aftermath, a combing operation in Hathoda village led to the arrest of 22 individuals the following morning. Administrative changes also saw Kosamba police inspector D L Khachar transferred, with R H Maru appointed as the new inspector.
