The incident escalated on July 12 around 1 pm when the man allegedly forced his way into her home while her elder daughter was visiting. He was reportedly armed with a bottle of acid and a sharp weapon. Neighbours rushed to her aid after hearing distress calls, rescuing both the mother and daughter.
The suspect faces charges under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including those related to outraging modesty, disrobing, house-trespass, and criminal intimidation. The action followed the victim's direct appeal to the additional director general of police (ADGP), Ramit Sharma.
