Wedding Photographer Stabbed by Guest During Ceremony

A wedding photographer's job at a May 23rd ceremony in Raymond, Maine, turned terrifying when he was stabbed by a guest. Donald Halsing, working with his fiancée Ashley, was approached by a man who, instead of inquiring about services, produced a knife and attacked him. Halsing sustained a chest wound, but quick thinking and the presence of medical professionals, including the bride who is a nurse, provided crucial immediate care. The attacker was apprehended by police near the wedding venue.

Halsing is now facing a lengthy recovery, both physically and psychologically. He is unable to work, impacting his and his fiancée's business and their own upcoming wedding plans. Friends and family have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help with mounting medical bills. Despite the traumatic experience, Halsing expressed determination to recover and looks forward to his own wedding in September.
