Philly 'Chucky' Menace Nabbed in Las Vegas

A suspect accused of terrorizing more than a dozen people in Philadelphia has been apprehended in Las Vegas. Zymire Hughes, 22, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on August 26, 2026, at an apartment complex on Boulder Highway in southeast Las Vegas.
Officials stated Hughes had been living in Las Vegas since February. He is accused of making threats and harassing at least 15 people near Philadelphia City Hall on August 12, while wearing a Chucky-style Halloween mask. Hughes was in Philadelphia for several weeks visiting family.
Following the incidents, Hughes fled Philadelphia on August 19. He initially flew from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Orlando, Florida, and then to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Investigators tracked his movements over a five-day period.
Hughes is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center and awaits extradition to Philadelphia. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment.
