The tragic event reportedly unfolded after an argument over Priti's participation in a local 'shobha yatra' procession. Vijendra Kumar is accused of using a grinding stone to bludgeon his wife to death after a dispute.
Family members also allege that Vijendra harassed Priti for dowry. Following the murder, he allegedly stole her jewelry and other belongings before fleeing the scene.
