Police in Patiala have apprehended two individuals in the suspicious death of a 23-year-old man, Karanpreet Singh. The incident occurred just two days after Singh's return from a three-month de-addiction center program. He was discovered unresponsive and bleeding from his nose at a neighbor's residence in Achal village.
Singh was taken to the Nabha civil hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The arrested suspects, Boby and Gursevak, are accused by the victim's father of administering a toxic substance. An FIR filed at the Sadar Nabha police station details allegations that the suspects took Singh out on November 1 and brought him back late, later taking him away again the following morning.
Singh's mother stated her son died from a drug overdose allegedly supplied by the suspects. She also criticized local police for inaction against drug peddlers. Nabha DSP GS Bal confirmed the arrests, with investigations ongoing. A post-mortem examination was conducted before the body was released to the family for cremation.
