Parents in Oklahoma are now facing first-degree murder charges after their toddler daughter was killed by a family dog. Darci Lambert, 24, and Jorden McGuire, 34, were initially charged with second-degree murder in connection with the November 18th death of their 2-year-old daughter, Locklynn Rose McGuire. The charges were elevated after investigators reviewed the case's "horrendous details."
The child was discovered deceased in the family home with what authorities described as "horrific injuries" believed to be from an animal attack. At the scene, Oklahoma City Animal Welfare removed four dogs, three of which were allegedly malnourished, along with two bearded dragons. Investigators noted that the child had been left in the room with the animal for a "substantial period of time."
