Parents' Blood Tests Reveal Toxins in Children's Deaths
11 Apr
Summary
- Mother's diary note mentioned desire for a son.
- Parents' blood tests confirmed presence of toxic chemicals.
- Parents initially suspected food poisoning from readymade batter.

The Ahmedabad City Police are investigating the mysterious deaths of two young sisters, 3-year-old Mishri and two-and-a-half-month-old Raha, with new developments emerging. A diary found belonging to their mother, Bhavna Prajapati, reportedly contains an entry about her desire for a son, adding a new layer to the inquiry.
Further deepening the mystery, blood tests conducted on both parents, Vimal and Bhavna Prajapati, have confirmed the presence of toxic chemicals, specifically aluminium phosphide and zinc. This finding followed the purchase of Celphos, a fumigant containing aluminium phosphide, by Vimal Prajapati days before his daughters' deaths.
The parents had initially attributed their children's deaths to food poisoning, suspecting readymade dosa batter purchased from a local dairy. However, police have largely dismissed this theory due to the age of the youngest child and a lack of other complaints regarding the batter. Authorities are continuing their investigation, with postmortem reports for the children still pending.
