Paramedic Hid Fatal Driving Conviction
3 Dec
Summary
- Paramedic suspended for failing to disclose fatal driving conviction.
- He renewed registration four times, working for NHS and private firms.
- Suspension until November 2026 due to lack of candor.

A senior paramedic has been suspended from the professional register for 12 months due to undisclosed criminal convictions. Bradley Osner, 47, failed to declare a culpable homicide conviction from South Africa, where he caused the death of a pedestrian while driving. This conviction occurred in 2002 and resulted in a suspended sentence.
Despite the conviction, Osner continued to work for the London Ambulance Service and a private healthcare firm, renewing his registration four times between 2017 and 2023. He asserted he was unaware of the conviction until recently, but the tribunal panel found his concealment to be a repeated act over many years.
The panel ruled that Osner's actions constituted misconduct, highlighting his "lack of insight and a continuing lack of candour." While his clinical practice was not in question, his deceit led to the suspension, which is effective until November 2026.
