Thames Valley Police are seeking three individuals who acted as "good Samaritans" following a distressing incident in Oxford. The attack took place on October 12th in Rose Place when a man, walking his Dalmatian, encountered another couple with two dogs. The larger of their dogs initiated an assault on the victim's Dalmatian, and the owner then punched the victim in the face.
Officers are particularly keen to speak with two young women and a young man who came to the victim's aid. These individuals provided medical advice and assistance. The offender, described as a white man of heavy build, also threatened another member of the public who attempted to intervene. The victim sustained facial injuries that necessitated hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
The dogs involved were described as mastiff or pitbull types. The offender is described as bald, with two eyebrow piercings, and was wearing glasses. Police are urging anyone who assisted the victim or witnessed the assault to come forward to aid their investigation.
