According to the Owensboro Police Department, a shooting incident occurred on Tuesday, November 12th, 2025, resulting in a vehicle collision and two men being hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident was first reported at 11:14 PM, with callers reporting multiple gunshots and a vehicle speeding away from the scene. A Daviess County Sheriff's Office deputy was the first to arrive and found two sport utility vehicles in a ditch on Parrish Plaza Drive.
One of the drivers was partially ejected from his vehicle, while the other was trapped inside. Both men were extracted from the vehicles and transported to Owensboro Health with apparent serious injuries. Authorities initially reported that one of the drivers claimed to have been shot, but later clarified that the injuries were not caused by gunfire.
Detectives have recovered a handgun and spent rounds from the scene, and one of the vehicles was struck multiple times by gunfire. However, police are still trying to determine who was shooting, where they were shooting from, and who they were targeting.
Investigators are canvassing the neighborhood for witness statements and checking surveillance camera footage in the area, which contains an apartment complex. They are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective James Forker at the Owensboro Police Department.
