In Moses Lake, a Ouija board became an unlikely clue leading to an arrest for a vehicle break-in that occurred Friday afternoon. Authorities responded to a report of a vehicle prowl on East Nelson Road, where a stereo had been forcibly removed from the dashboard.
Missing from the vehicle were residence keys and prescription medications, alongside a Ouija board. A Moses Lake Police Department officer recalled encountering a woman earlier that day carrying a Ouija board, who was later identified as Tasha Marie Wehrli.
Officers located Wehrli in the vicinity of Pioneer Way and Riviera Avenue. A search of her belongings revealed the stolen items, including the distinctive Ouija board. Wehrli was subsequently arrested and booked into Grant County Jail on multiple charges, including second-degree vehicle prowl, theft, and resisting arrest.
