In Oswego, a woman was discovered deceased inside her residence on Tuesday afternoon following a 911 call from her husband. He reported observing home surveillance footage that appeared to show her ex-husband pursuing her into their garage. Responding officers found the woman unresponsive, and paramedics declared her dead at the scene.
Approximately half an hour after locating the victim, Oswego Police apprehended the suspect. An officer spotted the suspect's vehicle traveling on a nearby road, and he was taken into custody without incident. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victim or the apprehended suspect.
Initial findings from the preliminary investigation indicate that the suspect pursued the victim into the garage and subsequently attacked her. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause and manner of death. Police have stated this is an isolated incident, assuring the public there is no ongoing threat.
