Oshiwara Police Accused of Misconduct, Inquiry Launched

On November 4, 2025, a group of 10 to 15 Bajrang Dal workers visited the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai with a complaint about a minor girl being harassed. The group met with the senior inspector and demanded strict action. However, it has been alleged that while the Bajrang Dal workers were waiting at the police station, five policemen misbehaved with them and asked them to leave the premises.
As a result, on November 7, 2025, an inquiry was instituted under the assistant commissioner of police (Bandra division). The officer was asked to submit a report about the allegations against the five policemen to the zonal DCP's office within a week. Additionally, two of the five policemen have been suspended pending the investigation.
