Dressing Room Videos Uncovered on Suspect's Phone
25 May
Summary
- Police discovered hidden videos of victims in a dressing room.
- The suspect is a registered sex offender with prior arrests.
- Voyeurism charges carry heavier penalties than peeping tom charges.

A Myrtle Beach man, Michael Aber, 25, has been arrested on voyeurism charges after police discovered multiple videos on his phone showing victims being secretly recorded inside an Old Navy dressing room. These findings emerged during an investigation into a separate peeping-tom incident at a local Target store.
According to newly obtained arrest warrants, Aber allegedly filmed victims without their consent by reaching over a divider in the Old Navy dressing room at Coastal Grand Mall on May 9. Police have identified female victims, though their ages were not specified.
Aber was initially taken into custody on May 14 in connection with the Target investigation, where he was charged with peeping tom offenses. Police identified him through surveillance images and a previous booking photo after he allegedly attempted to record another victim.
Records indicate Aber, a registered sex offender, also faces charges for indecent exposure related to an incident on May 2 at a resort. He had been released on a $50,000 bond for that charge. As of the report's writing, Aber remains in the Myrtle Beach jail.
