An Oklahoma couple, 36-year-olds Nathan Potier and Erica Palmer, have been arrested on felony warrants in connection with a disturbing case involving a pregnant 14-year-old girl.
The investigation began in December 2025 when a child protective services caseworker reported the teenager was pregnant with twins. Authorities believe the couple, who had fled Oklahoma, targeted the victim, and Potier is alleged to be the father of the twins, as Palmer was unable to conceive due to a previous tubal ligation.
The couple were apprehended in Reno-Sparks, Nevada, approximately 1,450 miles from their home, by the US Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force. Potier faces charges of sexual abuse of a child, while Palmer is charged with enabling sexual abuse and child abandonment.
Further records indicate prior allegations of sexual assault against Potier involving the same teenager, originating from California. The victim is now safe in foster care, and the couple remains in custody in Washoe County, Nevada.
