A tragic shooting has claimed the life of Symini Moore, a 15-year-old honor student from Woodmere High School in Ohio. The incident occurred last Friday at an apartment in Northwood where Moore was present with Jakob Heintzelman, 18, and others. Heintzelman is now facing a charge of reckless homicide, though he maintains the fatal shot occurred while he was cleaning his firearm.
The community of Woodville is reeling from the loss of Moore, described by former teachers as a kind, gentle, and well-mannered young girl. She was actively involved in numerous school activities, including cheerleading, track, volleyball, wrestling, choir, and Future Farmers of America.
Moore also worked part-time at Granny's Kitchen and babysat her younger siblings. An online fundraiser established to cover her funeral expenses has raised over $23,600, with donations also supporting her grieving mother and four siblings. Moore had aspirations of becoming an obstetrics nurse and was eagerly anticipating obtaining her driver's permit.
