Odisha Graveyard Mystery: Five Bodies Vanish

A disturbing series of events has unfolded in Maninathpur village, Odisha, where five bodies have vanished from a local graveyard. The disappearances, reported on Thursday night, have prompted a thorough investigation by district authorities. The missing individuals had died within the last two months.

This is not the first instance of bodies going missing from the Maninathpur cremation ground. Villagers recall similar incidents in 2016 and 2017, involving exhumations and the disappearance of multiple bodies. The recurring nature of these events has fueled speculation among locals, who suspect the bodies may have been stolen for occult practices or scientific experiments.

Following a recent discovery on April 1, 2025, where a grave was found dug up and the body missing, villagers expressed frustration over the perceived lack of urgency in previous police responses.
