Nurse Kills Parents for Inter-Caste Marriage

In Yacharam village, Vikarabad district, a 25-year-old nurse allegedly committed a double homicide, murdering her parents due to their opposition to her inter-caste marriage. The nurse, who worked in a private hospital, is accused of using her professional medical knowledge to administer a lethal overdose of a muscle relaxant. She reportedly stole the drug from her workplace. The deaths of the couple, N Dasaratham (58) and his wife Lakshmi (54), were initially presented as a suicide by the father followed by the mother's death from shock. However, police suspicion was aroused by a blood-stained syringe found at the scene. Following an investigation and questioning of relatives, the youngest daughter confessed to the murders, which she committed on the night of January 24, 2026. Authorities have cleared her boyfriend of any involvement. The accused has been arrested and remanded.
