NRLW Star's Ex Charged With Assault
26 Feb
Summary
- Brown faces multiple assault and property damage charges.
- An interim domestic violence order protects Studdon.
- Brown denies all six charges, vowing to fight them.

Bree Brown, the former girlfriend of NRLW player Maddie Studdon, has been charged with multiple counts of assault and destroying property. These charges emerged after Studdon herself recently pleaded guilty to domestic violence-related stalking offenses against Brown. Brown appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to two counts of common assault, three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, and one count of destroying property. Police initially refused her bail.
Magistrate Scott Nash issued an interim apprehended domestic violence order for Studdon's protection, which prohibits Brown from contacting or approaching her former partner. Brown stated her intention to vigorously contest all allegations. She is scheduled to return to court on October 15.
This legal development follows Studdon's sentencing for stalking and intimidation. She received a two-year intensive correction order and a $2200 fine. The Magistrate cautioned Studdon that any further offenses would result in jail time. Studdon's professional career has been impacted, with a potential signing by the New Zealand Warriors reportedly put on hold.
