Lucknow Police Eliminate Notorious Criminal Guru Sevak in Deadly Encounter

On Sunday, October 8th, 2025, Lucknow police engaged in a deadly encounter that resulted in the elimination of the notorious criminal Guru Sevak. Guru Sevak, who had a Rs 1.5 lakh reward on his head, was a key member of a gang involved in a series of cab driver killings and robberies across Uttar Pradesh.

Investigators have revealed that Guru Sevak was in possession of a prohibited .38 bore revolver, a weapon typically restricted to army personnel. Authorities are now working to trace the original owner of the firearm and determine how the accused obtained it, as one of the numbers on the revolver had been erased.

According to police, the gang's operations were "well-planned and highly coordinated," with a chilling modus operandi that combined careful reconnaissance with brutal execution. The gang came under the police radar following the murder of Lucknow-based cab driver Yogesh Pal, whose body was found in Sitapur.
